We have a new bromance in Bollywood. Abhishek Chaubey's next 'Udta Punjab' will star Shahid Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana. Ayushmann plays the second lead in the film. It's a thriller flick based on the current generation and their problems.

There were rumours few days back that the filmmaker was considering Emraan Hashmi for the second lead. However a source close to the production house denied this news and said, "Emraan was never part of the film. Ayushmann has been finalised for the lead along with Shahid.”

Ayushmann was keen to sign the film ever since he got the narration for it. A source close to the actor says, "He got a narration for the film and is excited about it. While he has already done the look test for the character, he is yet to sign the documents."

Along with these actors, Parineeti Chopra has also been signed for the film.
