Bajrangi Bhaijaan's release to be delayed in Pakistan?

10th July 2015

The much awaited Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' which is all set to hit the screens in India on the occasion of Eid, stands a very meagre chance of reaching the Pakistani audience on the same day.

The buzz is that the Pakistani government is planning for the film's release after Eid to avoid its clash with two big Pakistani films

A source said, "Salman has a huge fan following there, so there is an apprehension that his film might eat into the business of their Eid releases, Wrong No. and Bin Roye. It is highly unlikely that Bajrangi Bhaijaan will release along with them on that day."

On the other hand, the industry is buzzing around with the news that the release date is not yet clear as the makers of the film are yet to obtain a certification from the Pakistani Censor Board.

"Certification is a cumbersome process and so, films are generally shown to a foreign censor board about two weeks prior to release. However, in Bajrangi Bhaijaan's case, it has not been screened yet," adds the source.
