(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David and Victoria Beckham have announced they have called their baby daughter Harper Seven.
The little girl was born on Sunday morning in Los Angeles with mother and baby said to be doing "really well".
The soccer player revealed the much anticipated name on his Facebook page just hours later.
"I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx," the proud father wrote.
The name Seven is said to be a nod to the number shirt David wore while playing for his beloved Manchester United and for the England team.
Meanwhile, Harper could be referring to Harper's Bazaar magazine, a publication that fashion designer Victoria, 37, could well be a big fan of.
Another famous person with that name is To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee.
"Harper is an old English name something Victoria has always liked. Seven is a very lucky happy number and the baby was born just after 7am, in the seventh month," a close friend of the couple told the Daily Mail.
A source told The Sun newspaper that David was so overcome with emotion when his daughter was born that he was literally crying with joy.
Little Harper joins big brothers Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six.
Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Mel B have both tweeted their congratulations with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were on the last leg of their Los Angeles visit at the time of the birth, sending their well wishes to the couple. (C) Cover Media
