Beyonc Knowles responds to album leak

8th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles' says she "appreciate[s] the positive response" from her fans after her new album was leaked online.

Three weeks ahead of its official June 28 release date, the singer's latest record, entitled 4, has hit the Internet. In lieu of this untimely release, Beyonc has remained upbeat and is refusing to let the news upset her.

"My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans," the singer told MTV news earlier today.

Beyonc is more concerned with bringing joy to her fans than keeping stringent on release date schedules. She is pleased that so many people are desperate to hear her new tracks.

"When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs," she added.

The full 12 tracks from the new album surfaced online on Tuesday. Initially the Andre 3000 collaboration Party was leaked, immediately followed by Countdown, which features a sample of Boyz II Men's Uhh Ahh.

Beyonc recently released a dazzling music promo to accompany her first single Run the World (Girls). (C) Cover Media
