Bobby Brown was arrested today for driving under the influence.

The 43-year-old singer and ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol.

He had been talking on his cell phone when the CHP stopped him and then given sobriety tests.

"We observed intoxication once Mr. Brown was pulled over," Officer Tiana Reed told RadarOnline.

"We put him through four sobriety tests, none of which he passed. He was arrested at 12.20pm and booked into the Van Nuys jail."

Bobby is apparently still behind bars and it is not yet known how much his bond will be.

The New Edition singer is father to Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19 who he welcomed during his marriage to Whitney.

The Bodyguard star passed away last month and Bobby had walked out of her funeral following a seating dispute.
