Bollywood film fraternity comes in support of Malayalam actress

It came as a shock to the Malayalam film industry and to the whole country when news about Malayalam actress Bhavana being abducted by her own driver and his six friends went viral on the internet. The actors there down South showed their support by arranging for rallies and expressing their views via various social media platforms. While it can happen to anyone anywhere and at anytime, Bollywood celebs too are concerned about the safety of women in the society. Criticising this incident, many actors took to Twitter and expressed their anger. Some of the tweets read:

Shraddha Kapoor- "Anybody going to do anything about the safety of women in this country?Each & everyone of us has to take this attack personally.Heartbroken."

Varun Dhawan- "This is so shameful im honestly disgusted. We as a nation and as a society have to answer back."

Farhan Akhtar- "Shocked to hear about the horrifying ordeal #Bhavana went through. Wish her strength to get over it and hope all the morons are caught."

Riteish Deshmukh- "Entire country is with her. Salute her courage. #WithYouBhavana your courage will inspire many to take a stand against such evil."
