(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Brad Pitt thinks Jonah Hill slimmed down so he could look like his favourite male models.
The two Hollywood stars appear in new sports movie Moneyball.
Jonah has hit the headlines recently due to his dramatic weight loss. It's thought he's dropped at least 40lbs., but he doesn't really like talking about it.
"I don't know how much I weighed to begin with, and I don't know how much I weigh now. My goal wasn't about numbers," he said.
Brad interjected: "All the male models he admired were hovering at a 31-32 waist, so that became the target number."
Jonah immediately added: "Now I'm at 29, so what are you going to do?"
Jonah has become known for playing the larger-than-life funny guy in movies such as Superbad and Get Him to the Greek. Asked if he thinks he'll stop winning such roles now he's more svelte, the star was non-committal.
Brad then stepped in, insisting weight was never the reason why Jonah became so popular.
"It's so beyond that," he told USA Today.
"I remember being bowled over by Superbad. The most innovative, big leaps in what we do come from Jonah and his cohorts like Danny McBride and Russell Brand. Not only are they pushing the boundaries of irreverence, which is hilarious, but it is grounded in this humanity, this pain, this pathos, that goes beyond what we think of as comedy. There is an openness to what these guys are doing. They aren't hiding anything. It is so beyond any kind of stereotype." (C) Cover Media
