Bradley Cooper reportedly "dumped" Zoe Saldana because he is not ready for a relationship.

The two are said to have called it quits just weeks after Zoe was spotted shopping with Bradley's mother Gloria.

It is believed they broke up last week after about three months of dating.

"He dumped her, he just doesn't want to be in a relationship at the moment," a source told E! Online.

The source adds their friendship had blossomed into a romance but the timing was wrong. It is understood that they are hoping to remain friends.

"They have a great friendship, a natural chemistry and it was for that reason their relationship was able to grow into something more," the insider said. "But the timing was wrong, they are in different places in their lives."

Zoe split with her fianc Keith Britton in November 2011 after ten years together. Bradley has left a trail of broken hearts after reported romances with Rene Zellweger, Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lopez and Melanie Laurent.

The pair met while filming their upcoming film The Words, which is set to be released in September.
