Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marriage plans are the source of further speculation after a French mayor has denied confirming their wedding date.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive recently, with initial reports claiming the Hollywood stars would tie the knot at their French estate, Chateau Miraval, last weekend.

It was then suggested Michael Latz, who is mayor of the village Correns, had revealed that Brad and Angelina were more likely to exchange vows this Saturday.

Michael has now come forward to vehemently deny commenting on the nuptials.

"I never talked to them and there is absolutely no question about a wedding or so ever. All of this is bulls**t," he fumed to Reuters. "I've received 50 phone calls, I've sent everyone packing because it's getting on my nerves, it is wearing me out."

It has been reported that Brad and Angelina have decided to get married at a private chapel close to their estate on August 18, before inviting guests back for a lavish party at their home.

There are also claims they have commissioned two 500,000 identical diamond encrusted rose gold wedding bands.
