(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Britney Spears has revealed she will be wearing "elaborate and shocking" outfits on her tour.

The 29-year-old pop superstar is set to kick off her world tour on June 16 to promote her latest album Femme Fatale. Britney can't wait to take to the stage for the live shows and has been promising fans she is planning her most spectacular tour ever.

The singer insists everything from the choreography to the stage design will be amazing, adding her costumes will also impress.

"There are a lot of surprises in the show, you definitely get a show when you come to see this," she told British reporter Ross King. "It is probably one of the most impactful and exciting shows I have done so I am very excited about it.

"The costumes are just so elaborate and different and shocking. I think the show is more me than anything I have ever done, it is so much fun."

Britney loves visiting different countries and entertaining her fans from all over the world. Despite the hectic schedule, she is excited about going back on the road for several months.

"Yes I have missed it," she replied when asked if she is looking forward to touring again. "It is definitely a lifestyle and it can be gruelling sometimes, but for the most part it is a lot of fun. You know, you are somewhere different every day and you never know what to expect.

"Yes I do get nervous, I get very nervous. But by around the third song I calm down and I get into the mode of the show and it is a lot of fun."

The star also revealed what she will be doing to prevent any feelings of homesickness while she is away. Britney always travels with her favourite pillow and tries to recreate the feeling of being at home.

"When I am on tour I have to have my pillow from home, a fluffy pillow," she explained. "I also like shabby chic so I have to have all my dressing rooms and my bus done out in that, because that is what my house is like. So I have the same feel as my home." (C) Cover Media
