Sandra Bullock reportedly "banned talk of exes" on a recent night out with Heidi Klum.

The two stars were seen enjoying each other's company on a night out in Beverly Hills last week.

Sandra, 47, was reportedly keen to bring a smile to newly-single Heidi's face after the breakdown of her marriage to Seal after seven years.

"They banned talk of exes and spent the night laughing. It was just what Heidi needed," a source told UK magazine Closer.

The stars have become friends since bonding over their children. Sandra who ended her marriage to Jesse James in 2010 is said to have been a source of relief for the German-born beauty.

"They became friendly after Sandra adopted her son Louis, two years ago. Heidi has always offered parenting advice and invited Sandra and Louis on play dates with her kids Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two," an insider revealed.

"Sandra called her last week and said they were going out for some fun."
