(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sir Elton John is going on tour one month after the birth of his son.

The British singer will begin the series of concerts on January 26 in France and he will finish up in Ireland in June.

The 63-year-old singer has just welcomed Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John into the world after he was born to a surrogate mother in California on Christmas Day.

Elton and his partner of 17 years, David Furnish, said they were overwhelmed with happiness and joy at the birth, but revealed Elton still plans to carry out his 26-date tour of the US and Europe in a few weeks time.

British model Elizabeth Hurley was one of the first celebrities to express her delight for the couple when the news was announced yesterday.

"Massive congratulations to David and Elton on having their beautiful son. Can't wait for my first cuddle," she wrote on Twitter.

Boy George is another high-profile celebrity who has commented on the birth.

He believes that the sexuality of Elton and David should not affect the way they raise Zachary and admitted the birth announcement was a total surprise to him.
