(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Carrie Fisher is surprised at how famous her Star Wars gold bikini scene has become.
Princess Leia's Return of the Jedi costume in 1983 has been ranked among the top bikini moments in movie history and Empire magazine once called it one of the more memorable scenes in film. There was even a whole episode of Friends dedicated to the outfit. However, Carrie didn't even realise she looked that special while wearing the now iconic slave costume.
"Not at all," when asked by OK! magazine if she realised how fabulous she looked. "Those were the days when there weren't really exercise classes. I remember buying leg weights and doing some leg lifts but that was it. But I was only about 24 so things are a lot different."
Carrie has also revealed she would have loved to have kept the costume as a memento. However, the series' creator George Lucas would never have allowed it.
"Although I wore it at home one night and George Lucas didn't notice," she revealed. (C) Cover Media
