'Ghar Layenge Gold' is all about unity and patriotism

The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold' are out with a song titled 'Ghar Layenge Gold' and Akki as a nerdy yet passionate Bengali man is on the mission of getting India a gold medal as a free nation. The song begins with Akki making a promise to a government official that he will build a team that would fetch India a Gold medal.

From here on, Tapan Das aka Akshay Kumar is on a hunt for bright sportsmen well versed playing our National game and he selects Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh, Kunal Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal as core members of his team. Daler Mehndi's voice with the composition of Sachin-Jigar and words of Javed Akhtar has done magic and the narrative of the music video is absolutely patriotic. Recently Farhan Akhtar thanked Daler Mehndi for recording this aspiring song with a tweet that read, "Always a pleasure to hear your voice and associate with your incredible talent.. Thank you for taking the chant of Ghar Layenge Gold to the audience."

Gold is set against the backdrop of 1948 and it traces the journey of a hockey coach, who wishes to win an Olympic gold medal for independent India. The film has extensively been shot in UK and India. Gold marks the Bollywood debut of television actress Mouni Roy. It also features Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal in pivotal roles. Helmed by Reema Kagti, Gold is scheduled to release on August 15.
