The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold' are out with a song titled 'Ghar Layenge Gold' and Akki as a nerdy yet passionate Bengali man is on the mission of getting India a gold medal as a free nation. The song begins with Akki making a promise to a government official that he will build a team that would fetch India a Gold medal.

Daler Mehndi's voice with the composition of Sachin-Jigar and words of Javed Akhtar has done magic and the narrative of the music video is absolutely patriotic. Gold is set against the backdrop of 1948 and it traces the journey of a hockey coach, who wishes to win an Olympic gold medal for independent India. The film has extensively been shot in UK and India. Gold marks the Bollywood debut of television actress Mouni Roy. It also features Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor and Sunny Kaushal in pivotal roles. Helmed by Reema Kagti, Gold is scheduled to release on August 15.
