Carrie Underwood is "not looking forward to the playoff beard."

The 29-year-old country singer wed NHL player Mike Fisher in 2010.

Mike and his team the Nashville Predators are in the midst of playoff season.

Carrie is dreading the bushy facial hair that her husband will don in camaraderie with his teammates.

"I'm not looking forward to the playoff beard," she told People magazine. "[The players] all grow out their facial hair during the playoffs. So before they started, I told Mike, 'You need to shave close.' He always looks good with a little stubble, but it's probably going to get out of hand soon."

Carrie appreciates the time she's able to spend with Mike now that he's been traded to a team that represents the city she calls home.

"What a blessing," Carrie gushed. "He could've gone to any one of 29 other teams. But Nashville loves him and he loves Nashville. And I love having him there."

Carrie wants to hang out with Mike as much as possible before work commitments keep them apart later on this year.

"That's the bad part," she explained. "Once hockey's back in session in the fall, I'll be on tour, so we will not see a whole lot of each other."
