John Abraham was recently spotted at a social event where he associated with certain brands to promote the cause of education amongst under privileged kids.
Also he has been associated with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and the Lilavati Hospital to which he has also donated Rs.10 lakh. He also has initiated 'John's Brigade for Habitat for Humanity' where he contributes socially as well. He feels that the more celebrities associate with social causes more people get influenced to join it. "Unfortunately, there are only two things that people watch in India, films and cricket. If actors and cricketers talk, it makes a difference," said John.
He further claimed that celebs have these social responsibilities and hence its their duty to perform them ably as well, "We don't have to be models but role models and hence its important for celebs to join some or the other social causes" added John.
