(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Channing Tatum has no plans to return to Scotland in winter, as its the coldest and most inhospitable place hes ever been.
The actor stars in new movie The Eagle, alongside Jamie Bell. Set in Roman-ruled Britain, the adventure movie tells the story of a young Roman soldier who tries to honour his late fathers memory by going on a hunt for his lost legions gold emblem.
The movie was shot in the Scottish countryside, and Channing has previously said filming was tough due to the freezing temperatures. Although he loved the people he met, the star will never go back to Scotland in November, as hes from Alabama and is used to balmier climes.
Scotland was beautiful but I dont think Ill be going back in November any time soon. It is by far one of the coldest and most inhospitable places Ive ever been to. But its truly... the people were amazing and there is great whiskey up there as well, he laughed.
[People from Scotland and Alabama] could definitely trade off and shock each other for sure.
Jamie speaks Gaelic in the picture, and Channing was in awe of how well he picked it up although it did take Jamie some time. Channing was glad he didnt have anything so tricky to learn, explaining he just had to master the art of looking mean and moody.
Thank God that I didnt have to do it because it sounded like a very, very hard language. Jamie was so smart with it, hes so dedicated. I had to learn certain things, like how to walk and move while marching, and how to brood, he told UK television show Daybreak.
But I remember we met some beautiful, beautiful people in the north and spoke some Gaelic for them and they were like, That doesnt sound like anything! (C) Cover Media
