(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen's ex-wife thought it best to "leave Charlie's house for good" with her children.
Actress and real estate agent Brooke Mueller and Charlie were wed in May 2008. The pair have two-year-old twin sons Bob and Max Sheen together.
Following a series of dramatic personal tumult in recent years, Brooke, who had been living in Charlie's house, thought it sensible to find her own place.
"Brooke decided the best thing for her and the boys to do was leave Charlie's house, for good," a source told RadarOnline.
Brooke had been staying at Charlie's Mulholland Estates mansion with her toddlers. She has moved out and is now living in a rental home in the San Fernando Valley Greater Los Angeles area.
"Brooke recently sold her Los Feliz mansion, because she was under the assumption that her ex [Charlie] was going to buy her a mansion at Mulholland Estates. This is no longer going to happen. Brooke is living in a rental house in the Valley in Southern California. It's not an ideal situation for Brooke, but she is sober and committed to her sobriety," the source explained.
Charlie filed for divorce from Brooke in November 2010. The contentious split resulted in the pair going to rehab.
Brooke and Charlie were rumoured to have been reconciling in recent months. They went on holiday together to Mexico in August and Charlie has been paying for Brooke's rehabilitation programme.
With Brooke officially out of Charlie's Mulholland estate, it is clear that the pair have moved on.
"[Brooke] thought she would be moving to another house at Mulholland Estates. Charlie recently gave his former wife, Denise Richards a house in the swanky enclave, so that he could see their two daughters, Sam and Lola more frequently," the insider said.
Under the terms of the divorce settlement, Charlie must pay Brooke $55,000 per month in child support. Charlie pays the same sum to Denise for the care of their children. (C) Cover Media
