(Cover) - EN Star Style - Charlize Theron's make-up artist has revealed the secrets behind the star's smoky-eyed look.

The Hollywood star attended a Dior launch party in New York City on Wednesday night showcasing a sexy look. The star sported a white feathered Dior mini dress and black strappy sandals.

The 35-year-old actress teamed her stunning outfit with sultry make-up. A stylist has revealed the inspiration behind the beauty's look.

"Charlize's dress was really ethereal and feathery so I wanted to go for strong eyes," Shane Paish, International Beauty Expert for Dior told US weekly. "I was doing bright lips on her for a while and now we're going back to the smoky look - it's so easy and works for both day and night."

To recreate Charlize's look, pick up Dior 5-Couleurs Designer eyeshadow in Amber Design #708, Diorshow Mascara in Black and Dior Waterproof Crayon Eyeliner in Trinidad Black, which were all used to create the star's red-carpet look.

Shane advises to use the pencil to "define your upper and lower lashlines from the inner to the outer corners. You can leave the liner as is, or smudge it out a bit with your finger".

The beauty expert says the looks is all about subtle tones. Shane added highlighting is also a key tip to creating that sexy glow.

"Next, sweep a shimmery brown shadow over your lid and up into your crease, blending the colour up and out. Use a light champagne colour to highlight your browbones and finish with at least two coats of mascara on your lashes," he said. (C) Cover Media
