(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlize Theron will always remember how fortunate she has been to enjoy such a successful Hollywood career.
The actress, who is working on her own Africa Outreach Project, which focuses on sex education and HIV/AIDS prevention, said that her charity work puts everything into perspective.
The stunning blonde revealed that her involvement in her native South Africa is difficult but rewarding.
"I'm sitting on a toilet for seven days with diarrhoea. But it's the thing that puts everything into perspective," she told USA Today.
"There's a part of me that will always be the South African who knows and realizes how unbelievably fortunate I have been."
Charlize also revealed that while she enjoys life's luxuries, she doesn't like excess.
A Dior Spokeswoman, the 36-year-old said she doesn't like to have too many products and gifts.
"I'm completely spoiled don't get me wrong but I am not one of those people who needs another box of eye shadow. I only have two eyelids," she explained. "There's only so much eye shadow that can go on two eyelids. I don't like a lot of stuff. I have a thing against excess." (C) Cover Media
