After making his presence felt in Tollywood and Bollywood, Rana Dagubatti is thinking of doing a film in Kollywood next year. Tamil director Cheran may wield the megaphone for the actor's maiden Kollywood film.
It may be recalled that director Selvaraghavan did a photo shoot and the actor pumped iron to fit into the role of a valiant tribal lad in a period saga, but it was deferred due to exorbitant budgets.
'Since then he has been receiving offers from Tamil directors and Cheran is just one of them,' says a source close to the actor.
The source claims that Rana is fluent in Tamil since he did his schooling in Chennai and hasn’t lost touch with the language. 'He can start shooting for a Tamil film without any tutoring and he is thrilled about it,' the source adds.
