(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera says she lives her life under a microscope.

The singer admits there are downsides to being such a success in the music industry and often finds it hard to get away from the public eye. Earlier this month, Christina was jailed for public intoxication and spent a few hours in a police cell while she sobered up. Her boyfriend Matthew Rutler was also arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after police noticed he was driving erratically in Hollywood. Christina accepts people will believe what they read about her, but she insists the facts are often misconstrued.

We're only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about," she told UsMagazine.com. "You take the good with the bad. It's by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a firsthand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are apart from what we seem to be."

Christina is currently promoting her latest project, as a vocal coach on new television series The Voice. She claims the show is different from other talent searches because they are judging contestants purely on their singing ability. The 30-year-old is hoping she and fellow coaches Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green will be able to discover and nurture some amazing new talent.

"I am ready to share it all so I'm really excited. I hope we can find the next biggest thing, she added. I want to bring people up. I want to empower them and give them all the tools I had. I love that I get to be a part of that." (C) Cover Media
