(Cover) - EN Star Style - Christina Aguilera has decided to adopt a more rugged sense of style.

The American singer-and-actress is renowned for her sexy aesthetic, favouring bleached blonde locks and bright red lipstick. She is usually seen out and about in figure-hugging dresses, but has started to like casual clothes more recently.

Christinas new movie Burlesque is out in December. She portrays small-town singer Ali Rose, who makes the move to Los Angeles to try and launch a career in showbiz, and is taken under the wing of nightclub owner Tess, played by Cher. Shooting the film is one of the reasons behind her style overhaul, as she was envious of what some of the men wore on set.

Ive been really into being a little more rugged, she explained. I was jealous of all the boys on Burlesque because they always had combat boots, but theyd never come in my size. Not everything has to be pushed up and out.

Christina still dresses femininely though, and admits she loves getting glammed up for the red carpet. She gets a rush from putting on pretty outfits, although by the end of the night shes usually ready to step out of her high heels and into something more comfortable.

Its fun to play dress up, but I prefer to get out of the gown as soon as the red carpet is over, she explained to the British edition of InStyle. I like, you know, being in the nude right now before a hot bubble bath or in sweatpants and a tanktop. (C) Cover Media
