(Cover) - EN Showbiz - George Clooney's choice of new girlfriend doesn't make sense' an insider has claimed.

The actor's rumoured new girlfriend Stacy Keibler, 31, has kept quiet on whether she is seeing the eligible bachelor but an insider says they are dating even though she is a departure from his usual type.

A friend of George's has reportedly told E! Online, that they are confused by the actor's choice of new companion.

"They are dating, I don't get it, but they are dating," the source said.

"It just doesn't make sense really. He always goes for brunettes."

The insider claimed that a positive attribute the former wrestling beauty has is that "at least this one can speak English" before adding that they did not think "talking is part of the deal" of being with George.

The Oscar winner broke up with Italian model and television host Elisabetta Canalis back in June after nearly two years together but the source says that it was not an amicable split.

"I think the breakup was messy," the friend said. "He was hiding out from Elisabetta when she moved her stuff from his house."

"In fact, I think that's the reason he's hooking up with Stacy to protect himself from Elisabetta, who wants to be a star." (C) Cover Media
