'Commando' takes command!!

Loads of action and amazing stunt sequences, 'Commando' is all about that. Vidyut Jamwal has done a great job. Though the plot is thoroughly dismissed due to it's weak script, one would watch the film only for the adrenaline rush that every action sequence has to offer.

The film basically revolves around ex-commando Karanvir Dogra (Vidyut Jamwal) who crashes into the Chinese territory. He manipulates the system by calling himself an Indian spy while his nation disowns him and his credibility.

Simultaneously, the district of Dalerkot is troubled by the local bad guys AK 74 (Jaideep Ahlawat) and his gang. AK 74 is in love with Simrit (Pooja Chopra).

Simrit, whose parents have been killed, flees to the forest to run aways from AK 74 where she comes across Karan. He promises to take care of her and rescue her from the shackles of the bad guy.

What follows is a cat and mouse race, where the flips, somersaults, punches, etc. starts.

Only if the plot was strongly narrated, the film would have definitely ruled the box office for a while. That's how good Vidyut Jamwal is. Everytime he'll throw a punch or blow a kick, your eyes will be locked to the screen to see the precision his body moves in.

Pooja Chopra is an unnecessary addition in the film. Leaving aside her bad acting, she is just a wanna-be who is trying to get some attention with her fake-bubbly persona.

Jaideep Ahlawat as the menacing AK stuns the audience with an enthralling villainous act sans his eyeballs.

Since the director doesn't have much to direct in the film considering it's an action genre, he could have worked a little on the story to give it a better punch.

Nevertheless, the plot about rescuing the girl and fleeing from the 'gundas' in the forest falls much short, courtesy the half hearted direction and lackluster treatment by the director. The music too is not very interesting. The cinematography infuses life and a tinge of burnished hue to the film. Yet the icing on the cake would definitely be the brilliantly choreographed and filmed death-defying action sequences and stunts performed by Vidyut Jamwal and his team.

Watch the film for the main lead as he has given his whole heart and soul to the film. But if you aren't an action fanatic, you might just end up disliking the film, as it does not have anything else to offer.
