A court in Chennai has issued an interim stay on the release of Sarathkumar starrer Narasimhan IPS, which was originally scheduled to hit the screens on April 20 (Friday).

The movie which has Meghna Sundar of Kadhal Solla Vandhen fame opposite Sarathkumar is the Tamil version of Malayalam film Achante Aanmakkal.

In his petition, T Moovendan, a proprietor of Mahesh Exports, who had acquired rights for the international release of the film said that as per the agreement he was to get the disc of the movie five days before its release.

"The film is getting ready for a release on April 20, but I did not receive the disc," he added. Hearing his plea, the fourth assistant city civil court stayed the release of the movie and the case will now have its further hearing on April 24.
