Courteney Cox says that she has not totally ruled out getting back together with estranged husband David Arquette.
The couple separated in 2010 after 11 years of marriage and they share seven-year-old daughter Coco.
But the former Friends star tells Britain's The Telegraph that she has not completely closed the door on the relationship.
"Who knows what will happen," Courteney told the newspaper. "We're not divorced, and I suppose at some point we will be, but the reason I say, Never say never,' is because when my dad was dying he regretted not being with my mum, whom he divorced when I was 10."
David recently split from girlfriend Christina McLarty and is thought to be single once again.
"All I know is we're always going to love each other and whoever else comes into our lives will know that our relationship is extremely close," the Cougar Town star added. "And that has to be accepted. We've both talked about that. We're not your typical broken-up couple."
"The thing is we were working together so we thought we were seeing each other all the time. But we weren't really dealing with what needed to be dealt with, which was how to stay married and be true intimate partners.
"Now we're separated we're able to talk about all our resentments and the things we should have listened to each other on. And we're better parents to Coco. We're more patient with each other."
And although she has said in the past that David was urging her to date again, the 47-year-old says she's not ready.
"Oh, I do get lonely, yes. But it's to be expected," the single mother shared about being on her own. "But for God's sake, don't talk to me about dating. That whole thing starts to give me anxiety. Really? Dating? Must I? I just don't want to hear the words blind date'. Oh, God."
