(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hugh Hefner's former fiance is auctioning off the engagement ring he gave her.
The 85-year-old Playboy founder and 25-year-old Playmate were due to wed in June, but Crystal called things off days before the nuptials. She said it "didn't feel right" and has now moved on with her life.
When they got engaged last Christmas Hugh presented Crystal with a 3.39 carat diamond ring. She's now decided to get rid of the gem, which will be given to the highest bidder next month.
According to TMZ the lavish band will be auctioned by Christie's in New York City. The website has seen a listing on the company's website, which puts the value of the jewellery at between $20,000 and $30,000.
"[Crystal] couldn't bear to look at the ring anymore because it brought back bad memories," a source told TMZ.
Hugh hasn't commented on the report.
After their split, Crystal gave a series of interviews about her relationship with Hugh.
She claimed she felt pushed into tying the knot as they were shooting a TV programme about their wedding. She also made derogatory remarks about their sex life.
Hugh insisted he had no idea she was unhappy before she dumped him, and later admitted he felt he'd "dodged a bullet" by not marrying her. (C) Cover Media
