Karthika Nair, daughter of the famous yesteryear actress Radha, is climbling the ladder of success in Tollywood and Kollywood. The actress who played the lead in 'Rangam' was recently praised by the Oscar winning Hollywood director Danny Boyle.

Danny saw Karthika's performance in the Malayalam movie 'Makara Manju', which will now be dubbed in Telugu as 'Ravi Varma', and was thoroughly impressed.

The director who came up with the universal hit movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', immediately telephoned Karthika and appreaciated her. Sources say that Danny got Karthika's number from Santosh Sivan and decided to call and express his administration.
