Danny O'Donoghue constantly reminds Sir Tom Jones of his age.
The Irish musician is one of the mentors on the UK version of singing contest The Voice, alongside Tom, Jessie J and will.i.am.
Danny, 31, knows some expect him to be intimidated by Tom, 71, as he is so world famous, but the younger star insists that isn't the case.
"I wouldn't mistake youth for inexperience. Everything I've worked for in the last 15 years has put me in a position where I don't feel scared," he explained. "Tom was 40 when I was born and I remind him of that at every opportunity. Then he reminds me of the 40 million more records he's sold!"
Danny's band The Script has enjoyed chart success in the UK and America. He is excited at the thought that his role on The Voice might expand the group's fan base.
The star always makes time for his supporters, recalling one instance when he got more than he bargained for from a group of fans.
"We were in America, driving down the highway on our tour bus after a show and got flashed by a car full of women! It was hilarious," he told Look magazine.
