(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Arquette has been reading books about feelings and changes during his on-going separation from wife Courteney Cox Arquette.
The Hollywood stars announced they were taking time apart to focus on themselves last year. They have remained close since the separation, for the sake of their six-year-old daughter Coco.
David seemed to struggle after his marriage problems were made public, even talking about his sex life with Courteney on American radio. He then checked into rehab for alcohol and other issues, but is said to be doing much better since completing treatment.
David and Courteney are now promoting their new movie Scream 4, the latest instalment of the hit horror franchise. He explained that although they arent officially together at the moment they are still friends and he knows he can count on her when it matters.
We're separated, we're working on ourselves and our relationship, and sort of figuring out what we want. You know, life's complicated and people go through changes. And I've been reading a lot of things about myself, reading books that talk about feelings and changes, and she's been working on herself a lot too, he told ET. The great thing is that we really love each other and that we're really amazing parents together, very supportive - I'm her biggest fan and she's my biggest fan. You know, that's what it's all about really.
The pair met on the set of the first Scream film, which was released in 1996. Courteney insists working with her estranged partner was as fun as ever this time round, and she is also happy to attend press events alongside him.
It was very easy, we really respect each other and we help each other. I mean, I respect his opinion so much that I'm always asking him 'What do you think.' I think it's very easy, it's very, very easy to work with him, she explained.
David agreed, saying their personal problems are of no relevance when they are on set. He is thrilled with the way Scream 4 has turned out and hasnt lost his passion for movie making at all.
I really love acting with Courteney. I always have fun. It's always, you know, we're really loose and it's easy to feel real, like they're real moments, he said. That's my favourite part about acting, when you connect with something where it feels like, you know, you can actually believe it inside. (C) Cover Media
