David Schwimmer: My movie doesn't have Hollywood ending

(Cover) - EN Movies - David Schwimmer was pleased Clive Owen agreed to star in Trust even though it doesn't have a "Hollywood ending".

David helmed the thriller about 14-year-old Annie, played by Liana Liberato, who is targeted by an online sexual predator.

The film stars Clive Owen and Catherine Keener as Annie's parents, and David was thrilled to have the 46-year-old British actor, famed for roles in movies such as Closer and Children of Men, involved.

"I really commend Clive Owen for signing on," David told the BBC.

"He knew from the beginning it wasn't a Hollywood ending and the guy wasn't going to get caught.

"I'm grateful because the film needed an actor with the persona he has, which is: 'he's the guy that's gonna get the guy'. It played really well into the whole point of the film which was that even this guy doesn't get the guy."

David added that he was particularly careful when it came to casting 15-year-old American actress Liana as Annie. He made sure the youngster felt at ease with every scene.

"I knew it wasn't going to be gratuitous... so I was careful and concerned about how [Liberato] was and how we'd do it in a way in which she felt completely safe and comfortable," explained David. (C) Cover Media
