The highly anticipated Indian Premiere League (IPL) is all set to roll out its 6th season tomorrow. The series which has been famous for bringing together entertainment and sports has been a huge attraction for our Bollywood stars too. While some of the leading stars have their own team, there are others who make a fleeting appearance at the matches to cash in on their popularity.
We have often seen Bollywood stars attend matches for various reasons, either to perform at the event or to support their friend's or their favorite teams or to promote their films. And looks like Deepika Padukone will be at the IPL for more than just one reason this season.
Deepika, who is touted to perform at the opening ceremony with co-star Shah Rukh Khan, will also be attending a couple of matches for SRK's team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Considering they are the leads in 'Chennai Express', her appearance at the IPL will surely help create the pre-film buzz.
The actress will also be joining her co-star Ranbir Kapoor to promote their upcoming film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' at the closing ceremony of the IPL, as the ceremony overlaps with their film's release on May 31. Deepika and Ranbir could not have asked for a better platform to promote their movie.
