Deepika Padukone's south Indian magnum opus 'Rana', opposite superstar Rajinikanth, was put on hold due to Rajini's ill health. Rajini, who suddenly fell ill during the first schedule of the shooting, was hospitalized and was taken to Singapore for further treatment. It hardly has been weeks that since his return and talks of him starting to shoot are already doing the rounds.
Deepika is in no hurry to shoot for the film, her schedule had to be reshuffled when the shooting of 'Rana' was stalled. Deepika however utilized the time cleverly and completed a major chunk of her film 'Cocktail' in that span of time. Her schedule is packed with her doing back to back films like 'Race 2' & 'Desi Boyz'. However the conscientious Deepika stands firm on her commitment towards 'Rana'. She has given open dates to the producers of the film and has assured them that whenever they want her to shoot, she will make herself available.
She feels that Rajini's health and recovery is more important than her schedule. Hence she has asked the makers to let her lead star Rajini get fully fit and then resume the shooting without worrying about her dates.
