(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Samantha Ronson has been charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

The 33-year-old celebrity DJ was arrested last week while driving back from Las Vegas after initially being pulled over for speeding.

She had refused to submit to a field sobriety test at the scene and later failed a breathalyser test when she was taken to a local police station

Samantha has now been charged by the San Bernardino County District Attorney with two counts including driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08.

She faces a maximum of six months in jail if convicted and a $1,000 fine but it's reported that as a first offender she may just get probation.

Her mugshot went viral when it was released as it showed her posing with a smirk on her face.

Samantha, who is Lindsay Lohan's ex-girlfriend, is also said to be having the matching tattoo she had with the actress removed.

The pair had an on-off relationship for two years and Samantha had a small heart inked onto her left hand in 2008 to copy the Mean Girls star's tattoo.

She has apparently had a skull and crossbones designed to cover it up. (C) Cover Media
