(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Demi Lovato is happy to be back near her family after leaving her treatment centre.

The 18-year-old American actress-and-singer is known for her roles in movies such as Princess Protection Program, and has enjoyed success with albums Don't Forget and Here We Go Again.

In late October last year Demi checked into a treatment facility in Chicago to get help for emotional and physical issues, and the multi-talented star has now completed her program and is back home in California.

"Demi is happy to be back home and near her family again," a representative for the star confirmed.

The songstress was spotted yesterday afternoon looking relaxed in Santa Monica. It is believed she will carry on seeing doctors, and is especially looking forward to spending time with her loved-ones.

"She will continue to see doctors in LA who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment, a source told People.

"For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon. (C) Cover Media
