September 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): All of us know that celebrities are crazy about Twitter. Some of the younger celebs who grew up in the computer generation are particularly tech-savvy and use Twitter every waking moment of the day. Celebrities like Paris Hilton use twitter as their playground and for Justin Bieber it is just another way to connect with his fans.

Although the celeb brigade is running high on Twitter, it seems that some of them are trying to stay away from the frenzy. Take the example of Demi Lovato; she has finally decided to call it quits and wants to stay away from Twitter for a while. Mind you, Demi does not think that Twitter is digitizing our social lives.

When asked about her reason for quitting Twitter and Facebook, she said that she is dead tired of all the mean messages that fill up her inbox every day. So when we ask the obvious question about if whether she will ever return to her old Tweeting habits, Demi said that she might. Right now, we think Twitter and Demi are taking a break from each other. Demi signed off saying, "I love my fans so much but the access that the other people have is uncomfortable for me."

Let's hope Demi comes back to Twitter soon and starts exercising her thumbs.
