With major portions of the film 'Vengai' completed across the locales of Sivagangai in Tamil Nadu, the entire crew takes off to Moonar for shooting couple of duet songs in Moonar. The film has Dhanush and Thamannah playing lead roles while Prakash Raj takes on the role of baddie and Ganja Karuppu will tickle funny bones with comedy tracks. Much alike his previous films, director Hari mentions that the film will have right mix of commercial ingredients – comedy, action, romance, ladies sentiments, glamour… The film is scheduled to be completed by next couple of months as Hari will have to kick-start his other movie that is supposed to have Suriya in lead role.
