How did he conquer the hearts of fans? By speaking in Kannada! The actor, married to superstar Rajnikanth's eldest daughter Aishwarya, began with "Kannada abhimanigalige, Appaji Raj Sirge namaskara. My wife Kannadavaru… Nanage Yee oorige sambandha ide…Naanu illi bandirodhu friendship inda….Ondu olle friend…Nambike iro friend idodu kashta and nijavada friend annodu bhrame…my friend is Ramya…"

Even as the venue was getting drowned in cheers and loud applause, Dhanush called Ramya on stage. He then confessed. "I don't know anything about 'Sanju Weds Geetha' it is a marriage is it not? Dhanush next gave his gyaan on films. "No film will click if there is no stuff within. In this TV and DVD zamana, a film running continuously for 10 days in theatres is very difficult. But magic happened with 'Sanju Weds Geetha'"

Then it was time for another confession. "Today I came to know how difficult it is to learn another language. The words you heard were actually written down by my friend for me"!
