Dhanush recently penned lyrics for a couple of songs in Mayakkam Enna, his soon-to-be-released film directed by elder brother Selvaraghavan. Now the national award winning actor has gone a step ahead.

He has written lyrics for all the songs in his other venture '3', directed by wife Aishwarya. Confirming the news, Anirudh, who’s composing the music for '3', says, "There are 10 tracks in the film - seven songs and three theme music tracks. And Dhanush has penned the lyrics for all the seven numbers."

Appreciating Dhanush for his efforts, Anirudh, who is making his debut as music composer with 3, says, "He has delivered exactly what we wanted in terms of words. He has also sung two tracks - one solo and the other, a duet with Shruti Haasan. Bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan has also sung a number for us."

The audio is expected to be launched at a grand function in December and the film will be released during Valentine's Day. A romantic story, 3 brings together for the first time Dhanush and Shruthi Haasan on screen.
