Rohit Shetty started the first day of the shoot with all boys brigade of the film; Varun Dhawan, Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever. The rest of the cast will soon join the shoot. 

Written by Sajid – Farhad, the film's music has been given by Pritam and the cinematographer of the film is Dudley. The film is slated to release this Christmas. 

Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd's (RCE) and Rohit Shetty Productions' film DILWALE's shoot kicked off on March, 20 2015 in Mumbai. 

'Dilwale' has an ensemble cast which includes Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Chetna Pandey, Mukesh Tiwari and Murli Sharma.
