Dolly Parton wants Gaga duet

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dolly Parton would love to duet with Lady Gaga.

The 65-year-old songstress who is famed for her country music career says she is a big fan of the eccentric star, and would love to collaborate with her.

Lady Gaga has released a Bollywood-inspired remix of Born This Way, after previously releasing a country version of the hit single. Dolly says she loves the country-style version of the track, and would relish the opportunity to merge their singing talents.

"I think it's great. It's just wonderful. I love her, she told E! Online. "Maybe we should do something together - GooGoo and Gaga! You know those GooGoo candy bars in Nashville? I could be Lady GooGoo."

Meanwhile, Dolly has revealed that working with Queen Latifah on new movie Joyful Noise was great. The iconic singer says that she wrote a few of the songs in the film. The upcoming comedy movie is about a national choir competition and set for release in early 2012.

"I wrote four of the numbers," she said. "There are a couple we got to do together. There's a lot of great music in the movie."

Dolly who is famed for flamboyant style and distinctive voice says that she has always been happy to do her own thing in the music industry. The blonde stars career has spanned four-and-a-half decades, and she remains one of the most successful female artists in the history of the country genre. Dolly says she owes that success to staying true to herself, and not giving in to the pressures of the notoriously cut-throat music industry.

"I really do think that I stand for being proud of who you are and not worrying a lick about what other people think, really," she added. "I feel fortunate that I've never had to be anything other than myself." (C) Cover Media
