Dr. Conrad Murray lost the will to live'

15th November 2011

Dr. Conrad Murray is apparently having a difficult time adjusting to life behind bars.

The 58-year-old was found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson earlier this month and is being held in custody until his sentencing on November 29.

But TMZ are reporting that the physician is not coping with being found culpable for the June 2009 death of the King of Pop and has lost the will to live.

Although his lawyers warned Murray to be prepared for a guilty verdict, the site claims that he never thought it would happen.

Sources claim that Murray has told various people, including his son's mother Nicole Alvarez, his bodyguard Jeff and his lawyers that he wants to kill himself.

Murray is currently being held in the medical ward at Los Angeles County Jail where he has been for over a week.

Insiders connected with Murray have told the site that the doctor has no physical troubles but he is being held on suicide watch.

"A person's medical or mental health status in the Los Angeles County Jail is protected under the law," L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore said, refusing to comment on why Murray was being held in the medical ward.

A jury found Murray guilty for Jackson's death, who passed away from acute Propofol intoxication, after administering the powerful anesthetic to treat the Thriller star's insomnia.

Murray faces up to four years in prison for causing the singer's death through his negligent actions.
