(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Duffy has admitted she took a break from performing to evaluate her new found fame.

The 26-year-old singer burst onto the music scene with the release of her 2008 debut album, Rockferry, which performed well across the globe. Duffy is currently promoting her second album, titled Endlessly, and admits she initially found herself daunted by the fame and attention.

I am a workaholic but I took a year out to reassess. I just wanted to take stock, I spent my whole life dreaming about becoming public property and once I was there, it was like, Whats my next move? Duffy explained. I knew the second album was going to be the most important of my life.

The Welsh-born songstress - whose real name is Aime Ann Duffy - went on to explain the confusion that dominated her thoughts when she first tasted success. She also admits she became increasingly hampered by her wish to please her fans.

It was good, I dreamed long and hard for this to happen. That being said, I didnt know how I was supposed to be in nine places at once. How was I supposed to be in Japan and Australia at the same time? I think my dreams didnt quite fathom logic when I was planning it all. The logistics was the most difficult thing, she added.
