Touted to be an experimental project based on fantasy, the initial stage had some problems in the unit and the shooting was shelved due to some issues. Even there were some constraints involved in the technical team especially the graphic artists. The commercially successful filmmaker proved that he can be a successful auteur even with offbeat themes that was very much evident with his previous movie 'Maryada Ramana'. 'Eega' features Nani in the lead role who gets killed by a baddie (played by Sudeep) and is reborn as a fly and seeks vengeance to kill him. Samantha plays the female lead role.
