Elizabeth Banks says that it important to be a mother first and foremost with her young son, Felix.
The actress welcomed the little boy last year through a gestational carrier, but says unlike her character in her new movie People Like Us, she does not intend to be friends with her child.
Elizabeth told Entertainment Tonight that she will be more focusing on being a parent to her little one.
"I think you can be your kid's friend when you're at Disneyland and you're like, Yay, let's go on a big rollercoaster together,'" The Hunger Games star told the show.
"But I am a big proponent of [parenting] your kids first and foremost. They need parents. They're gonna have a lot of friends in their life. They're only gonna get two parents."
And although the 38-year-old actress has a busy schedule, she says she has her priorities straight.
"I am just like every other working mom out there," she shared. "I put my son first and everything else fights for second place. As long as he's taken care of and happy and safe, I can work with everything else."
