(Cover) - EN Movies - Elle Fanning has described new movie Super 8 as mind-blowing.

The actress, who plays Alice Dainard in the sci-fi thriller, revealed that she and the rest of the cast only saw the finished movie a few days ago and got caught up in the visually impressive scenes.

Despite knowing the plotline, the 13-year-old said that she reacted to the film as if she'd not been part of it because director J.J. Abrams had kept the final revelation to himself.

"All of us saw it together for the first time just a few days ago," Elle said. "We were screaming. We were jumping out of our seats. It really just blows your mind. We didn't know the full secret because it wasn't in the script and he didn't tell us. So we found out the full secret when we watched it the other day."

Elle, who, at her tender age, already has 32 movies under her belt, also remembered her excitement when she was told she was going to meet the filmmaker.

The young star was awestruck upon finding out she would be introduced to the Mission: Impossible III director.

"I remember when they said, Ok so you're going to go meet J.J. Abrams.' Your jaw just drops," she recalled.

Elle, who is the sister of actress Dakota Fanning, also spoke about her character in Super 8.

The blonde teenager portrays Alice, who is filming a Super 8 movie with her friends. Upon witnessing a mysterious train crash, the group begins to notice strange happenings in their hometown.

Elle described her character as rebellious and explained that she is trying to escape parental control.

"She's definitely the tough, strong girl. She steals her dad's car. The boys ask her to do this movie this summer with them and it's an escape from her dad," she said. (C) Cover Media
