(Cover) - EN Movies - Jason Momoa has revealed that all cast and crew members of the upcoming Conan movie are "truly fans".

The actor, who plays the lead role in Conan the Barbarian, praised director Marcus Nispel for his amazing vision when it came to creating the film.

He explained that the reason why everything looks so convincing is that from set designer to actor, everyone genuinely loved the story of Conan.

"He's got a beautiful, visual, aesthetic eye. And the people that he chose to create his world - from the costumes, to the set pieces - everyone was truly a fan, and he himself is truly a fan of Conan. Everyone worked and bled for this movie," Jason said in a question and answer session for fans and bloggers.

The star also revealed how long it took him to get into shape to portray the muscled, athletic hero.

Jason said he had to undergo a tough regime of workouts and cut out foods to achieve the required look quickly.

"We had about four to six weeks to get ready. It was tons of weight training and cardio. Because we had to put mass on very quickly it was a lot of heavy weights and a pretty strict diet," he said.

The star also remembered his favourite scene during filming. Describing an epic fight scene, he revealed he especially enjoyed coming to the rescue of vulnerable enslaved women.

"What I trained the hardest for was this charge that we did. I fought 20 guys and then I went lopping off heads. It's the first fight that you see of Conan. He's coming in and he's saving these slave girls. It's obviously just a bunch of naked women getting whipped by guys. And I come in and save the day and take them to the nearest pub," he joked.
