(Cover) - EN Star Style - Emma Watson says that being involved with Fair Trade is incredible and life-changing.
The actress who announced her involvement with Fair Trade fashion brand People Tree in 2009 has today launched her third and final collection, to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight.
The 20-year-old actress who worked as a creative advisor for the brand - travelled to Asia to see her designs brought to life.
"The design process continued with me trying on each and every piece to get the fits just as I wanted them and then I visited Bangladesh to see the clothing actually being made and meet the people making it," she said in a short film for People Tree. "It was an incredible and life-changing experience - I really wish everyone had the chance to see the difference Fair Trade makes with their own eyes."
The collection features floral and check-print tea dresses, denim hot pants and waistcoats, and the line is modelled by the fashionista herself. The actress who was not paid for the collaboration - has admitted that it was humbling to see what a difference Fair Trade makes.
"Fair Trade fashion comes from the villages - and provides a real alternative to working in a garment factory and the harsh environment of living in a slum," she said.
Emma is carrying on her eco-friendly fashion ventures. The actress-turned-model is teaming up with Italian luxury designer Alberta Ferretti to produce an eco range. The style icon has previously revealed that she hopes humanitarian issues continue to be highlighted in the modern fashion world.
"I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren't many options out there, she said. (C) Cover Media
