(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Watson has landed a role in a new movie about Marilyn Monroe.

The 20-year-old British actress is best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, and reprises her role in the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, with the very final instalment being released next year.

Apart from some television work in the UK, Emma has spent time focusing on her education rather than appearing in other films until now.

It has been announced she will star in the movie My Week with Marilyn, alongside big names such as Dame Judi Dench, Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh and Dominic Cooper.

The film will be based on the true accounts of Colin Clark, the man who worked as cinema icon Sir Laurence Olivier's assistant on The Prince and the Showgirl, the 1957 hit which starred Laurence and Marilyn Monroe.

Colin recalled all his adventures of working with blonde bombshell Marilyn in a diary, and wrote about swimming nude with her in Londons River Thames and taking her to visit Windsor Castle.

Marilyn will be played by Michelle, Laurence by Kenneth, and Emma will play Lucy, a wardrobe assistant working behind the scenes during the making of the film.

It isnt thought to be a hugely demanding role, which means Emma wont need to take too much time off from her degree at the US University Brown. (C) Cover Media
